About The Position
The Environmental Services Technician at Orlando Regional Medical Center is responsible for daily work that creates and maintains a safe, clean, healing environment. The role includes cleaning patient rooms and completing timely room turnarounds to support patient throughput, using the basic principles of environmental hygiene and infection prevention. In accordance with organizational quality standards, the technician contributes to cleaning, disinfection, infection prevention, and the customer experience. The EVS department supports 24/7 hospital operations in a high-acuity, fast-paced healthcare setting and focuses on infection prevention, regulatory compliance, and service excellence.
Responsibilities
- Clean patient rooms daily and complete timely room turnarounds to support patient throughput.
- Help establish and maintain a safe, clean, healing environment.
- Perform cleaning and disinfection in accordance with environmental hygiene, infection-prevention, and organizational quality principles.
- Contribute to the patient and customer experience.
