About The Position

Environmental Tech II is responsible for the basic disinfecting and cleaning of the facility and hospital owned clinics. This position is also responsible for removal of a regular wasted and medical waste alone with boxes and the disposal of equipment and furniture. This position is based within Jefferson Regional Environmental Services Department. In this unique setting, daily interactions with a diverse clientele, including hospital staff, physicians, and visitors, are expected. Hours vary and may require an adjustment of schedule to accommodate departmental need. This position is a Safety Sensitive Position.

Requirements

Must have a valid Driver’s License with reliable transportation.
Must be able to follow all rules and policies within the organization and department.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean and safe environment.
Effective communication skills.

Nice To Haves

High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
At least 1 year of cleaning experience in a hospital setting preferred.
Previous experience in a healthcare facility or commercial cleaning role preferred.
Knowledge of hospital infection control procedures preferred.
