About The Position

Performs daily cleaning and supplies patient rooms, wards, nursing stations, lounges, laboratories, bathrooms, offices, and other assigned areas. Work follows standard Housekeeping Department procedures and the facility’s objectives. Uses cleaning devices and supplies including 16 oz. wet mops, small wringers, dusters, household-type vacuum cleaners, and other necessary tools and products.

Requirements

• Must pass a pre-employment and annual physical examination.
• After brief training, must demonstrate correct use of assigned chemicals, supplies, and tools.
• Must understand the potential hazards chemicals present to self and others, as outlined in the Department’s Written Hazard Communication Program.

Nice To Haves

• Previous environmental experience.
