About The Position

Shriners Children's Greenville is seeking an Environmental Services Technician II to join its Environment Services Team. The role provides housekeeping, cleaning, and courier services throughout patient care, treatment, and diagnostic areas. The position works Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., in a colorful, upbeat, and fun hospital environment.

Requirements

• Ability to manage time efficiently.
• Ability to lift at least 25 pounds.
• Ability to perform tasks requiring bending, stooping, kneeling, stretching, standing, and walking.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED.
• One year of janitorial or custodial experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide housekeeping, cleaning, and courier services to patient care, treatment, and diagnostic areas.
• Collect and properly dispose of bio-waste.
• Perform basic room cleaning, including dusting and trash removal.
• Vacuum, sweep, and mop floors.
• Assist with assigning floor refinishing work and participate in refinishing floors, including machine scrubbing and stripping, cleaning baseboards, and applying new floor finish.
• Perform terminal cleaning of the operating room area.
• Assist patients, patients’ family members, and staff as needed.
