About The Position

Shriners Children’s Greenville is seeking an Environmental Services Technician II to provide housekeeping, cleaning, and courier services throughout patient care, treatment, and diagnostic areas. The role includes routine room cleaning, floor care, proper bio-waste disposal, and terminal cleaning of the operating room area. The technician also assists patients, patient family members, and staff as needed.

The position is scheduled Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. The organization describes its workplace as colorful, upbeat, and fun. Compensation is determined based on years of relevant experience and departmental equity.

Requirements

• Ability to manage time efficiently.
• Ability to lift at least 25 pounds.
• Ability to perform tasks requiring bending, stooping, kneeling, stretching, standing, and walking.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED.
• One year of janitorial or custodial experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide housekeeping, cleaning, and courier services to patient care, treatment, and diagnostic areas.
• Collect and properly dispose of bio-waste.
• Perform basic room cleaning, including dusting and trash removal.
• Vacuum, sweep, and mop floors.
• Assist in assigning and participate in floor refinishing, including machine scrubbing and stripping, cleaning baseboards, and applying new floor finish.
• Perform terminal cleaning of the operating room area.
• Assist patients, patient family members, and staff as needed.
