About The Position

This role is responsible for maintaining a high standard of the store's overall look and feel, including cleanliness and recovery standards, to deliver Brand Promises. The team member will deliver friendly customer service, assist customers in shopping, and collect and dispose of trash following approved procedures. Responsibilities include dusting and damp mopping floors, moving equipment and products for cleaning, and cleaning assigned areas with provided materials and equipment. This may involve mixing cleaning solutions. The role also includes deep cleaning key areas like bathrooms, breakrooms, and entryways to ensure a clean and safe environment for customers and staff. The team member must keep cleaning equipment organized and notify supervisors of supply needs. They should proactively identify and address areas needing cleaning and complete all assigned tasks in accordance with federal, state, and county guidelines. Maintaining positive and respectful interactions with team members and customers is crucial, serving as a role model for the organization's vision and values. Additional duties may include providing a fast and friendly checkout experience, executing cash handling, engaging customers about rewards programs and credit cards, assisting with omnichannel processes (BOPIS, Ship from Store), participating in truck unloading, stocking, and planogram processes, and supporting shrink and safety programs. Adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Company programs is required for compliance.

Requirements

Retail and/or cleaning experience preferred
Ability to remain standing for long periods of time
Ability to move throughout the store
Regular bending, lifting, carrying, reaching and stretching
Lifting heavy boxes and accessing high shelves by ladder or similar equipment
Applicants in the U.S. must satisfy federal, state, and local legal requirements of the job.
Must be at least sixteen (16) years or older.

Responsibilities

Collects and disposes of trash following approved procedures.
Dusts and damp mops floors following approved procedures.
Moves equipment and products for proper cleaning and places products back in correct placement.
Cleans assigned areas with the use of assigned materials and equipment.
May require mixing water and detergents in containers to prepare cleaning solutions according to specifications.
Deep cleans key areas of the store including but not limited to bathrooms, breakrooms, entry ways and other high traffic areas to maintain a clean, safe environment for customers and staff.
Keeps cleaning equipment neat and orderly; notifies supervisor of supply needs in advance for replenishment.
Seeks out areas requiring cleaning; takes initiative to complete the task.
Completes all tasks assigned by supervisor.
Performs tasks in accordance with all federal, state and county guidelines.
Maintains positive and respectful interactions with both team members and customers, even in difficult situations, in keeping with the organization’s vision and values.
Projects a positive image and serves as a role model for other Team Members.
Provides a fast and friendly check out experience; executes cash handling to standards.
Engages customers on benefits of Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards and completes enrollments.
Assists with Omni channel processes, including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship from Store (SFS).
Participates in the truck un-load, stocking, and planogram (POGs) processes.
Supports shrink and safety programs.
Adheres to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Company programs to ensure compliance with applicable laws and requirements; executes Company policies and standards.
