About The Position

The Environmental Svcs Associate cleans assigned areas—including patient rooms, public areas, offices, and equipment—to meet hospital and department standards and support quality care. The role also involves moving equipment, furniture, and boxes, and removing and hanging blinds and curtains. The schedule is casual days, 7:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m., with every other weekend and holiday required.

Requirements

• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions to complete housekeeping duties.
• Ability to use housekeeping equipment.
• Act 34 clearance.

Nice To Haves

• Housekeeping experience preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Make beds in patient discharge rooms and on-call rooms according to established cleaning procedures.
• Inspect assigned areas to ensure they are clean and in good repair, and report problems to the supervisor.
• Replenish paper towels, toilet paper, and soap in assigned areas.
• Clean assigned patient rooms, public areas, toilets, procedure rooms, offices, and equipment according to established procedures.
• Keep assigned equipment clean and in working condition, reporting problems and suggestions to the supervisor.
• Remove trash from assigned areas.
• Follow safety and sanitation regulations.
• Move equipment, furniture, and boxes; wash walls; spot-clean carpets; and perform other assigned tasks.
• Remove and hang blinds and curtains.
