About The Position

Kleinfelder's Environmental team is looking for an Intern for Environmental, Geotechnical, and Construction Materials Testing work in our San Jose CA office and Hayward CA laboratory. The Intern will work under the direct supervision of experienced staff and will assist in various field and office tasks on various projects. The position requires strong writing and verbal communication skills. The ideal candidate should have some knowledge of pertaining to environmental sciences, geology, or pursuing a degree in the sciences and be able to conduct work outside in varied weather and field conditions over successive days. Candidates should be recent graduates or pursuing a BS degree in Geology, Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field. The ideal candidate will have good computer skills, be able to get along well with others, be well organized, and be very capable of conducting field work. Experience conducting field work either while employed or as a volunteer, is desirable. The ideal candidate must have a valid driver's license with an excellent driving record. This is a great opportunity for individuals who are energetic and enthusiastic, have an interest in the environmental and geotechnical field, and who are highly organized and able to work independently to complete assignments. Following an offer, candidates will be required to satisfactorily complete employment reference checks, verification of professional licensure and/or educational credentials, a motor vehicle report (MVR), and a comprehensive background check.

Requirements
