Vertex’s ESG Co-op is a six-month experiential training program for undergraduate or advanced-degree students studying sustainability, business, government, communications, or a related field, with a demonstrated interest in health, medicine, or public policy. As part of Vertex’s Corporate Responsibility team, the co-op will research and advance projects that support the company’s ESG priorities, including environmental sustainability, access to medicines, and mandatory and voluntary external reporting. The role offers exposure to a variety of functional areas across the business. The co-op is full-time, paid, and scheduled for January through June 2027, at 40 hours per week. The position is hybrid-eligible or on-site eligible; hybrid employees may work remotely up to two days per week, subject to Vertex’s Flex @ Vertex policy. The role is temporary and offered through a third-party agency partner, which will employ the selected candidate and provide employment terms and benefits. The stated program pay is $20.00–$35.00 per hour. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States now and in the future; sponsorship is not provided for internships, co-ops, or entry-level roles in this part of the organization. Students graduating before June 2027 must be enrolled in an advanced-degree program.
