About The Position

The Environmental Services Technician maintains a clean work environment in assigned areas of Select Medical Rehabilitation Hospital at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Assigned areas may include patient rooms, offices, nurses’ stations, lounges, hallways, bathrooms, kitchen areas, elevators, and the lobby. The technician also helps maintain a safe environment and replenishes supplies. The position is full-time and pays $17.00–$20.73 per hour.

Requirements

• Previous housekeeping experience is required.

Nice To Haves

• High school degree or equivalent preferred.
• Previous hospital environmental services (EVS) experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean work environment in assigned areas, including patient rooms, offices, nurses’ stations, lounges, hallways, bathrooms, kitchen areas, elevators, and the lobby.
• Report unsafe conditions promptly to a supervisor or the appropriate department.
• Replenish supplies, including soap, towels, toilet tissue, and other disposable items.
