About The Position

The Environmental Services Technician (EVS)/Housekeeping role maintains a clean, sanitary, orderly, and presentable hospital environment. The hospital provides inpatient post-ICU care for chronic, critically ill patients who need extended healing and recovery. This position performs routine housekeeping tasks in assigned hospital areas, following established schedules and procedures and using cleaning solutions and disinfectants to help prevent the spread of disease. The role is full-time in Omaha, Nebraska, scheduled from 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. and every other weekend. Compensation is $16.00 to $19.51 per hour. Previous housekeeping or EVS experience is required.

Responsibilities

Demonstrate commitment to customer service excellence in interactions with patients, family members, visitors, and staff.
Maintain clean work environments in assigned areas, including patient rooms, offices, nurses’ stations, lounges, hallways, bathrooms, kitchen areas, elevators, and lobbies.
Help maintain the overall sanitation, order, and appearance of the hospital.
Perform light manual work and complete routine housekeeping tasks according to established schedules and procedures.
Clean assigned areas by washing furnishings, floors, and equipment with cleaning solutions and disinfectants.
Dust window sills, blinds, floors, and furniture; empty ashtrays and trash buckets; and arrange furniture and equipment in an orderly manner.
Make beds with clean linen as prescribed; scour and polish sinks, tubs, mirrors, and similar equipment; and replenish soap, towels, and other dispensable supplies.
