About The Position

Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Nampa, Idaho, is hiring a full-time Environmental Services Technician (Housekeeper). The role helps prevent infection, promote patient safety, meet environment-of-care requirements, and maintain the appearance of assigned areas. The position is scheduled for 40 hours per week, from 10:30 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday through Friday, plus every other weekend. The technician cleans and disinfects patient treatment and invasive-care areas, staff and visitor areas, and patient and exam rooms. The role also handles waste and soiled linen, prepares spaces for incoming patients, performs assigned project work, and provides directions and general hospitality to patients and visitors. Responsibilities

Disinfect patient treatment, invasive-care, staff, and visitor areas to support infection prevention, patient safety, environment-of-care compliance, and the appearance of assigned areas.
Collect, store, and dispose of general medical, biohazard, pharmaceutical, chemotherapy, sharps, and soiled-linen products in accordance with established policies and procedures.
Interact with patients and visitors to provide directions, hospital information, guest-room services, and general hospitality.
Perform project work such as changing cubicle curtains, construction cleanup, floor refinishing, carpet cleaning, wall washing, and refrigerator cleaning.
Prepare patient rooms, exam rooms, and patient support areas for new patients, including disinfection, bed making, floor care, and replenishing supplies.
