About The Position

The Environmental Services Technician creates a sanitary, safe environment and enhances the appearance of the facility. The role cleans patient rooms and other assigned areas, sanitizes surfaces and medical equipment as required, replenishes supplies and linens, and maintains cleaning carts and equipment. The technician may also maintain a floor care program according to established policies and procedures and perform other environmental services duties as needed.

This position requires critical thinking, effective communication, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. No prior experience is required; healthcare or hospitality experience is preferred. The position is full-time on the night shift at a facility in Hollywood, Florida.

Responsibilities

• Clean patient rooms and other assigned areas daily.
• Collect and remove trash, change bed linens, and sanitize all surfaces.
• Ensure medical equipment is properly sanitized as required.
• Replenish supplies and linens in patient rooms as necessary or designated.
• Maintain the cart and equipment in clean, working condition and store them in the appropriate area at the end of the shift.
• May maintain a consistent floor care program according to outlined policies and procedures.
• Perform other environmental services duties as needed.
