About The Position

This position performs general housekeeping tasks to maintain the hospital facility and associated buildings in a sanitary, safe, and attractive condition and to meet hospital and Joint Commission standards. The role is based at Good Samaritan Hospital in Lafayette, Colorado, and is scheduled for 40 hours per week. The shift is Friday through Tuesday, 12:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Pay is based on experience, with an hourly range of $19.29 to $24.38. The position includes full-time benefits.

Requirements

Demonstrated communication skills, including the ability to differentiate color-coded labels and/or chemicals and follow written and/or verbal directions.
Ability to work a flexible schedule when needed to meet department needs.
Ability to work independently and safely.
Ability to use cleaning chemicals properly and read labels.

Responsibilities

Clean and disinfect assigned areas using department cleaning procedures.
Use cleaning chemicals properly according to Joint Commission and OSHA standards.
Follow procedures for disposing of infectious waste and trash.
Handle and clean up emergency spills according to department guidelines and Joint Commission and OSHA standards.
Follow infection prevention practices, including cleaning and disinfection protocols, hand hygiene, standard and isolation precautions, and proper donning and doffing of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Maintain work and storage areas according to established policies and procedures to ensure safety.
