About The Position

This position performs general housekeeping tasks to maintain the facility and associated buildings in a sanitary, safe, and attractive condition and meet hospital and Joint Commission standards. It is an as-needed position requiring flexibility to cover various shifts, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays. The role is located at Intermountain Health Sanpete Valley Hospital in Mount Pleasant, Utah, and pays $17.68–$22.99 per hour, depending on experience. Benefits are not eligible for this position.

Requirements

• Demonstrated communication skills, including the ability to differentiate color-coded labels and/or chemicals and follow written and/or verbal directions.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule when needed to meet department needs.

Responsibilities

• Clean and disinfect assigned areas using department cleaning procedures.
• Use cleaning chemicals properly according to Joint Commission and OSHA standards.
• Follow procedures for disposing of infectious waste and trash.
• Handle and clean up emergency spills according to department guidelines and Joint Commission and OSHA standards.
• Follow infection prevention practices, including cleaning and disinfection protocols, hand hygiene, standard and isolation precautions, and proper donning and doffing of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Maintain work and storage areas according to established policies and procedures to ensure safety.
