About The Position

The Environmental Services Supervisor oversees housekeeping and laundry services to maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. The role ensures compliance with regulations and infection-control standards while supporting the hospital’s mission. Responsibilities include coordinating with other departments to prepare patient rooms, managing supplies and equipment, overseeing linen and laundry distribution, and supervising work hours and payroll.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous housekeeping experience.
• Previous healthcare experience preferred.
• Previous management or supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support appropriate and compliant vendor contracts to ensure quality products and services.
• Collaborate with Nursing and Admissions to ensure patient rooms are ready for arrivals.
• Manage inventory to optimize supply costs and maintain equipment.
• Approve hours worked and manage payroll.
• Set linen supply par levels according to census and oversee laundry distribution.
• Review, update, and replace MSDS sheets and policies and procedures.
• Perform routine and isolation cleaning according to infection-control standards.
• Apply standards for cleanliness and sanitation.
• Use chemicals according to manufacturer labels.
• Organize, plan, and manage time to complete assignments effectively.
• Meet position requirements and perform essential functions.
• Complete mandatory training and courses by their deadlines.
• Immediately report questionable situations, concerns, complaints, or harassment.
