About The Position

Havenwyck Hospital, a Joint Commission-accredited and licensed psychiatric hospital in Auburn Hills, Michigan, provides behavioral health services to children, adolescents, and adults. The Environmental Services Supervisor works under the supervision of the Director of Plant Operations as a team member to maintain a high state of cleanliness and order throughout the Hospital, Outpatient, and Residential Treatment Center. The supervisor manages and executes all aspects and duties of Environmental Services.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree, or a high school diploma or GED.
• Five to ten years of housekeeping experience.
• One to three years of related management experience, or at least five years of team leader experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be a team player.
• Satisfactory motor vehicle operation reports are required.
• Internal-transfer candidates must be in good standing, including employment and corrective-action history and performance evaluations.

Nice To Haves

• Hospital housekeeping experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Environmental Services staff, including scheduling, corrective actions, annual performance evaluations, and compliance with mandatory in-service requirements.
• Provide department orientation for new Environmental Services staff and ensure documentation of completed orientation is submitted to Human Resources.
• Complete staff competency assessments.
• Complete performance-improvement monitoring and problem-solving resolutions.
• Complete a daily housekeeping assignment.
