About The Position

Calvary Hospital and Calvary @Home provide palliative care for advanced cancer and other terminally ill patients and their families. The Environmental Services Supervisor works under the direct supervision of the Environment/Laundry/Mailroom Operation Director, supervises aspects of the department’s daily activities, and performs a variety of duties to help ensure a clean, comfortable, and sanitary hospital environment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to communicate with patients, staff, and visitors.
• Aptitude for basic calculations and transcription of numerical records.
• Ability to speak, read, and write in English.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Exhibit an ability and attitude consistent with Calvary Hospital’s spirit of caring and tradition, as required by specific job duties and functions.
• Ability to exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, up to 50 pounds frequently, and up to 20 pounds constantly to move objects.

• Previous housekeeping or laundry experience.
