About The Position

The Environmental Services Patient Ambassador is responsible for overseeing daily staff duties and assignments within the department, ensuring tasks are completed to the set standard. This role involves evaluating conditions and cleanliness through inspection and quality control measures. Additionally, the ambassador coordinates staff training on the proper use of chemicals, equipment processes, and safety issues. The position requires continuous walking and standing, with potential for bending, stooping, and lifting up to 50 pounds. Applicants must be prepared for potentially highly stressful situations due to customer concerns and will be required to undergo a physical ability test as a condition of employment. The role also requires demonstrating knowledge of growth and development principles and skills appropriate to the ages, culture, developmental stages, and special needs of the patient population served. Access to protected health information (PHI) will be limited to what is reasonably necessary for job functions and shared on a need-to-know basis.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a housekeeper aide or similar job.
  • Capable of working independently.
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions and complete written forms.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development and demonstrates the skills and competency appropriate to the ages, culture, developmental stages, and special needs of the patient population served.
  • Will limit access to protected health information (PHI) to the information reasonably necessary to do the job.
  • Will share information only on a need-to-know basis for work purposes.
