About The Position

We are seeking an Environmental Services Manager to support housekeeping operations within a 450-bed acute care hospital environment. In this role, you will assist in overseeing daily environmental services operations, manage and develop frontline associates, ensure compliance with regulatory standards, and help deliver a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. Requirements

  • 3 years of supervisory or management experience is required
  • Acute care hospital or long-term care experience
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams
  • Excellent customer service, communication, and relationship-building skills
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Experience with budgeting, expense management, and operational performance metrics
  • Effective problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Ability to perform successfully in a fast-paced healthcare environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Internet applications

Nice To Haves

  • Environmental Services or Housekeeping experience
  • CRCST or other applicable sterile processing certification preferred

Responsibilities

  • Assist in managing the day-to-day operations of the Environmental Services department
  • Supervise, coach, and develop department associates while promoting a culture of accountability and service excellence
  • Coordinate housekeeping activities across hospital departments to support operational needs
  • Monitor departmental financial performance, expenses, and budget adherence
  • Establish and maintain work standards, productivity expectations, and workflow processes
  • Implement and support departmental policies, procedures, and quality initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with hospital, regulatory, infection prevention, and safety standards
  • Partner with hospital leadership and department managers to address service needs and enhance patient satisfaction
  • Support staff training, engagement, recognition, and performance management efforts
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, efficiency, and customer service
  • Participate in achieving facility goals and departmental performance objectives
  • Perform other duties as assigned
