About The Position

The Environmental Services Manager joins Cleveland Clinic Lutheran Hospital’s Environmental Services Department, which supports a comfortable and safe environment for patients. The role manages the technical and administrative functions of the assigned EVS area and oversees its team, quality, compliance, professional development, and operational and capital budget activities. The position also manages a union at Lutheran Hospital. The caregiver works Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with on-call requirements for emergencies. The posting also lists a day shift and a 6:30 a.m.–4:00 p.m. schedule.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Four years of hospitality or housekeeping experience, including two years of management experience. A bachelor’s degree may substitute for two years of management experience.

Responsibilities

Manage the technical and administrative functions of the assigned Environmental Services function.
Implement short- and long-term goals consistent with the goals of Environmental Services and clinical units.
Manage quality assurance and performance improvement activities within assigned areas.
Interpret and ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards.
Directly supervise assigned Environmental Services team members.
Ensure all team members have a performance management program.
Ensure policies and procedures are consistently applied throughout the program.
Regularly evaluate and mentor team members.
Assist in developing and implementing programs for the professional growth of team members in technical and behavioral areas.
Participate in developing operating and capital budgets for areas of responsibility.
Improve the efficiency and effectiveness of Environmental Services activities with the goal of decreasing expenses.
Manage a union at Lutheran Hospital.
