About The Position

Healthcare Services Group (HCSG) is seeking an Environmental Services Department Manager to lead housekeeping, laundry, and floor care teams in a long-term care facility. The role oversees staff and daily service delivery, helping ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and applicable federal and state requirements while supporting positive customer and resident experiences. The manager also performs and leads housekeeping and laundry duties across varying shifts, trains and guides staff, monitors quality, maintains department records, communicates with building occupants and administrators, and promotes safe work practices. The position requires consistent attendance, courteous interactions, and the ability to complete routine, repetitive tasks. Residency within the service area is required.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Two years of experience in healthcare housekeeping and supervision preferred.
Maintain a positive attitude and communicate effectively with building occupants, administration, and HCSG leadership.
Comply with COVID-19 vaccination policies.
Able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and push and pull up to 50 pounds.
Able to stand, sit, bend, and walk for extended periods.
Able to perform routine, repetitive tasks continuously and daily.
Able to work around food and cleaning products.
Able to follow oral and written instructions.
Residency within the service area is required.

Responsibilities

Manage and supervise housekeeping, laundry, and floor care staff, ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, and federal and state requirements.
Perform and lead teams in light housekeeping, heavy housekeeping, and laundry aide duties across varying shifts.
Lead staff training, quality control, and in-service sessions; ensure timely completion of projects and programs.
Maintain records of income, expenditures, supplies, personnel, and equipment using HCSG computer software.
Act as a liaison between building occupants and administrators and HCSG staff; communicate directives effectively.
Use protective gear appropriately and ensure safe use of cleaning solutions and adherence to safety precautions.
Maintain consistent attendance and punctuality, and complete tasks on time.
Represent HCSG positively through courteous interactions with supervisors, co-workers, client staff, residents, and guests.
Perform other duties as assigned.
