About The Position

Healthcare Services Group (HCSG) is seeking an Environmental Services Department Manager to lead housekeeping, laundry, and floor care teams in a long-term care facility. The manager supports HCSG’s commitment to improving the communities it serves and enhancing customer and resident experiences. The role includes supervising staff, participating in department work, maintaining records, supporting quality and safety, and communicating between facility occupants and HCSG personnel.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Two years of experience in healthcare housekeeping and supervision preferred.
• Maintain a positive attitude and effectively communicate with building occupants, administration, and HCSG leadership to perform daily tasks.
• Comply with COVID-19 vaccination policies.
• Be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and push and pull up to 50 pounds; stand, sit, bend, and walk for extended periods.
• Be able to perform routine, repetitive tasks continuously and daily.
• Be able to work around food and cleaning products.
• Be able to follow oral and written instructions.
• Residency within the service area is required.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise housekeeping, laundry, and floor care staff, ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, and federal and state requirements.
• Perform and lead teams in light housekeeping, heavy housekeeping, and laundry aide duties across varying shifts.
• Lead staff training, quality control, and in-service sessions, and ensure timely completion of projects and programs.
• Maintain records of income, expenditures, supplies, personnel, and equipment using HCSG computer software.
• Act as liaison between building occupants and administrators and HCSG staff, and communicate directives effectively.
• Use protective gear appropriately and ensure safe use of cleaning solutions and adherence to safety precautions.
• Maintain consistent attendance and punctuality, and complete tasks on time.
• Represent HCSG positively through courteous interactions with supervisors, co-workers, client staff, residents, and guests.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
