Environmental Services Department Manager
About The Position
Healthcare Services Group (HCSG) is seeking an Environmental Services Department Manager to lead housekeeping, laundry, and floor care teams in a long-term care facility. The manager supervises staff and performs or leads housekeeping, laundry, and floor care duties across varying shifts while supporting quality, safety, and compliance. The role involves maintaining department records using HCSG computer software and serving as a liaison between facility occupants and administrators and HCSG staff. The position requires a positive, professional approach in interactions with residents, guests, client staff, supervisors, co-workers, and HCSG leadership. Employees must follow safety precautions, use protective gear appropriately, and work around food and cleaning products. Residency within the service area is required.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Two years of experience in healthcare housekeeping and supervision preferred.
- Maintain a positive attitude and communicate effectively with building occupants, administration, and HCSG leadership.
- Comply with COVID-19 vaccination policies.
- Able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and push and pull up to 50 pounds.
- Able to stand, sit, bend, and walk for extended periods.
- Able to perform routine, repetitive tasks continuously and daily.
- Able to work around food and cleaning products.
- Able to follow oral and written instructions.
- Residency within the service area is required.

Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise housekeeping, laundry, and floor care staff, ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, and federal and state requirements.
- Perform and lead light housekeeping, heavy housekeeping, and laundry aide duties across varying shifts.
- Lead staff training, quality control, and in-service sessions.
- Ensure timely completion of projects and programs.
- Maintain records of income, expenditures, supplies, personnel, and equipment using HCSG computer software.
- Act as liaison between building occupants and administrators and HCSG staff, communicating directives effectively.
- Use protective gear appropriately and ensure safe use of cleaning solutions and adherence to safety precautions.
- Maintain consistent attendance and punctuality and complete tasks on time.
- Represent HCSG positively through courteous interactions with supervisors, co-workers, client staff, residents, and guests.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
