About The Position

Healthcare Services Group (HCSG) is hiring an Environmental Services Department Manager to lead housekeeping, laundry, and floor care teams in a long-term care facility. The manager oversees staff and department operations while supporting HCSG’s commitment to excellence and positive customer and resident experiences.

The role includes both management and hands-on work across housekeeping and laundry duties. It also involves training staff, maintaining quality and operational records, communicating with facility occupants and administrators, and ensuring safe work practices and compliance with applicable policies and requirements.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Two years of experience in healthcare housekeeping and supervision preferred.
• Maintain a positive attitude and communicate effectively with building occupants, administration, and HCSG leadership.
• Comply with COVID-19 vaccination policies.
• Lift and carry up to 50 pounds and push and pull up to 50 pounds.
• Stand, sit, bend, and walk for extended periods.
• Perform routine, repetitive tasks continuously and daily.
• Work around food and cleaning products.
• Follow oral and written instructions.
• Reside within the service area.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two years of experience in healthcare housekeeping and supervision.

Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise housekeeping, laundry, and floor care staff, ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, and federal and state requirements.
• Perform and lead teams in light housekeeping, heavy housekeeping, and laundry aide duties across varying shifts.
• Lead staff training, quality control, and in-service sessions; ensure timely completion of projects and programs.
• Maintain records of income, expenditures, supplies, personnel, and equipment using HCSG computer software.
• Act as a liaison between building occupants and administrators and HCSG staff; communicate directives effectively.
• Use protective gear appropriately and ensure safe use of cleaning solutions and adherence to safety precautions.
• Maintain consistent attendance, punctuality, and timely completion of tasks.
• Represent HCSG positively through courteous interactions with supervisors, co-workers, client staff, residents, and guests.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
