Environmental Services Associate (Part time 24 hr, Fri. Sat. Sun.)
About The Position
Environmental Service Associates clean and maintain assigned areas of the organization, including patient rooms, public areas, and service areas. They provide customer service while completing tasks that support departmental and organizational processes. Specific duties are determined by job and task assignments. This part-time position is scheduled for 24 hours per week, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, with variable work shifts, in the Admin - Emergency Department. Requirements
- A high school diploma or GED is not required.
- Applicants aged 16–18 may be considered if they have an applicable work permit.
Responsibilities
- Obtain assigned cleaning or maintenance requests through an automated system, daily assignment sheet, or verbal direction, and complete them according to departmental and organizational processes.
- Move beds or furniture as needed to serve customers or complete cleaning tasks.
- Complete paperwork required to monitor departmental statistics.
- Follow directions for proper use and cleanliness of equipment relevant to the assignment.
- Submit work orders and other required paperwork to report issues with equipment and miscellaneous items throughout the hospital.
- Keep assigned carts and areas stocked to appropriate operating levels, including distributing linen.
- Complete other duties as assigned, including storeroom maintenance, to meet hospital cleanliness and safety standards.
- Provide a high level of customer service to patients and other customers throughout OhioHealth.
