About The Position

Oakmont Gardens is seeking a detail-oriented Environmental Services Assistant to support housekeeping and laundry services and help keep the community clean, well-maintained, and welcoming. The role supports resident transitions and the department’s standards for comfort and cleanliness. It is weekends only and pays $20–$22 per hour, depending on experience.

The assistant coordinates housekeeping and laundry schedules, communicates with residents about services and schedule changes, arranges deep-cleaning and carpet and window-cleaning appointments, and helps with apartment move-in and move-out procedures and inspections. The position also processes supply orders, codes invoices, and cross-trains in basic housekeeping and laundry tasks to provide hands-on support as needed. Other general support for the Environmental Services team may be assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to multitask, work independently, and manage shifting priorities.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office and data entry.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as cleaning and moving furniture.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English to perform essential job duties.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in housekeeping, janitorial, or environmental services preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily housekeeping and laundry schedules and coordinate updates with the Director.
• Communicate with residents regarding services, updates, and schedule changes.
• Manage scheduling for deep cleans, carpet cleaning, and window cleaning.
• Assist with apartment move-in and move-out procedures and inspections.
• Process supply orders and code invoices for the Environmental Services department.
• Cross-train in basic housekeeping and laundry tasks to provide hands-on support when needed.
• Provide general support to the Environmental Services team as assigned.
