About The Position

Healthcare Services Group (HCSG) is hiring an Environmental Services (EVS) Assistant Manager to oversee cleaning and sanitation services at a long-term care facility. The role manages and supervises environmental services staff and helps ensure that cleanliness and sanitation standards meet applicable federal, state, and local regulations. The assistant manager supports daily team operations, maintains records, trains staff, communicates with facility stakeholders, and inspects work quality. HCSG describes its mission as positively impacting the communities it serves and enhancing customer and resident experiences.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
• Knowledge of cleaning methods, materials, and safety regulations.
• Basic computer skills for record-keeping and report generation.
• Must comply with COVID-19 vaccination policies.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, push and pull up to 50 pounds, and stand, bend, and walk for extended periods.
• Residency within the service area is required.

• Previous experience in environmental services, housekeeping, or facilities management is desired.

Responsibilities

• Assist the EVS Manager in overseeing daily environmental services operations and maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
• Manage and supervise environmental services staff, ensuring cleanliness and sanitation standards comply with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Maintain accurate records of cleaning schedules, staff assignments, and supply and equipment inventory.
• Train staff on cleaning techniques, safety procedures, and infection control measures.
• Communicate with staff, residents, and facility management about operational needs and feedback.
• Ensure compliance with safety and sanitation policies, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Inspect cleaning work for quality and provide constructive feedback to team members.
• Represent HCSG through courteous and cooperative interactions with supervisors, co-workers, clients, residents, and guests.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
