About The Position

The Environmental Services Assistant Manager oversees cleaning and sanitation services at a long-term care facility. The role manages and supervises environmental services staff, ensures cleanliness and sanitation standards meet applicable regulations, and assists the Environmental Services Manager with daily operations. The assistant manager also maintains operational records, trains staff, communicates with facility stakeholders, and conducts quality inspections.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Strong leadership and communication skills, including the ability to manage and motivate a team.
Knowledge of cleaning methods, materials, and safety regulations.
Basic computer skills for record-keeping and report generation.
Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies.
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, push and pull up to 50 pounds, and stand, bend, and walk for extended periods.
Residency within the service area.

Previous experience in environmental services, housekeeping, or facilities management.

Responsibilities

Manage and supervise environmental services staff.
Assist the Environmental Services Manager in overseeing daily team operations and maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
Maintain accurate records of cleaning schedules, staff assignments, and inventory of supplies and equipment.
Train staff on cleaning techniques, safety procedures, and infection control measures.
Communicate with staff, residents, and facility management about operational needs and feedback.
Ensure compliance with safety and sanitation policies, including use of personal protective equipment.
Inspect cleaning work and provide constructive feedback to team members.
Represent HCSG through courteous and cooperative interactions with supervisors, co-workers, clients, residents, and guests.
Perform other duties as assigned.
