About The Position

Healthcare Services Group (HCSG) is seeking an Environmental Services (EVS) Assistant Manager to oversee cleaning and sanitation services at a long-term care facility. The role assists the EVS Manager with daily operations, supervises environmental services staff, and helps ensure facility cleanliness and sanitation meet applicable federal, state, and local regulations. The position also involves maintaining operational records, training staff, communicating with facility stakeholders, and conducting quality inspections.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
• Knowledge of cleaning methods, materials, and safety regulations.
• Basic computer skills for record-keeping and report generation.
• Must comply with COVID-19 vaccination policies.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, push and pull up to 50 pounds, and stand, bend, and walk for extended periods.
• Residency within the service area is required.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in environmental services, housekeeping, or facilities management is desired.

Responsibilities

• Assist the EVS Manager in overseeing daily environmental services team operations and maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
• Manage and supervise environmental services staff to ensure cleaning and sanitation standards comply with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Maintain accurate records of cleaning schedules, staff assignments, and supplies and equipment inventory.
• Train staff on cleaning techniques, safety procedures, and infection control measures.
• Communicate with staff, residents, and facility management about operational needs and feedback.
• Ensure compliance with safety and sanitation policies, including use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Inspect completed cleaning work and provide constructive feedback to team members.
• Represent HCSG positively through courteous and cooperative interactions with supervisors, co-workers, clients, residents, and guests.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
