Environmental Services Assistant Manager
About The Position
Healthcare Services Group (HCSG) is hiring an Environmental Services Assistant Manager to oversee cleaning and sanitation services at a long-term care facility. The role supports the Environmental Services Manager in running daily team operations and maintaining high standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and safety. The assistant manager supervises and trains staff, maintains operational records, conducts quality inspections, and communicates with staff, residents, and facility management. Pay is USD $20.00–$25.00 per hour. Offered salary rates are determined by applicant qualifications, experience, education, and the specific needs and requirements of the facility serviced.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
- Knowledge of cleaning methods, materials, and safety regulations.
- Basic computer skills for record-keeping and report generation.
- Must comply with COVID-19 vaccination policies.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, push and pull up to 50 pounds, and stand, bend, and walk for extended periods.
- Residency within the service area is required.

- Previous experience in environmental services, housekeeping, or facilities management.
Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise environmental services staff, ensuring cleanliness and sanitation standards comply with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Assist the Environmental Services Manager with daily operations to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
- Maintain accurate records of cleaning schedules, staff assignments, and supplies and equipment inventory.
- Train staff on cleaning techniques, safety procedures, and infection control measures.
- Communicate with staff, residents, and facility management about operational needs and feedback.
- Ensure compliance with safety and sanitation policies, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Inspect cleaning work for quality and provide constructive feedback to team members.
- Represent HCSG through courteous and cooperative interactions with supervisors, co-workers, clients, residents, and guests.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
