Environmental Services Assistant Manager
About The Position
Healthcare Services Group (HCSG) is seeking an Environmental Services (EVS) Assistant Manager to oversee cleaning and sanitation services at a long-term care facility. The role supports the EVS Manager in directing daily team operations and ensuring cleanliness and sanitation standards comply with federal, state, and local regulations. The position also includes staff supervision and training, recordkeeping, quality inspections, and communication with facility stakeholders. The role requires residency within the service area and compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, including the ability to manage and motivate a team.
- Knowledge of cleaning methods, materials, and safety regulations.
- Basic computer skills for recordkeeping and report generation.
- Must comply with COVID-19 vaccination policies.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, push and pull up to 50 pounds, and stand, bend, and walk for extended periods.
- Residency within the service area is required.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in environmental services, housekeeping, or facilities management is desired.
Responsibilities
- Assist the EVS Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the environmental services team and maintaining high cleanliness standards.
- Manage and supervise environmental services staff to ensure cleaning and sanitation standards meet applicable regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of cleaning schedules, staff assignments, and supplies and equipment inventory.
- Train staff on cleaning techniques, safety procedures, and infection control measures.
- Communicate with staff, residents, and facility management about operational needs and feedback.
- Ensure compliance with safety and sanitation policies, including use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Inspect completed cleaning tasks and provide constructive feedback to team members.
- Represent HCSG through courteous and cooperative interactions with supervisors, co-workers, clients, residents, and guests.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
