About The Position

The Environmental Services Assistant performs cleaning tasks in an assigned area while following established policies and procedures. The role supports a healthcare environment by maintaining clean and sanitized spaces and replenishing necessary supplies. Requirements

• High school diploma or GED is strongly preferred but not required; candidates willing to complete a GED within one year of employment are encouraged to apply.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Physical stamina.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to maintain cleaning equipment.

Responsibilities

• Clean, mop, and scrub hard-surface floors.
• Maintain carpets by vacuuming and, when needed, operate a carpet extractor.
• Collect and dispose of trash.
• Clean assigned areas by dusting, mopping, and sanitizing, and replenish soap and other necessary products.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms.
• Sanitize C. difficile patient rooms using specified products and change cubicle curtains.
• Maintain cleaning equipment.
