About The Position

UES is looking for an Environmental Project Manager to join our growing Charleston team. In this role, you'll serve as a trusted advisor to clients, lead project delivery from start to finish, and play a key role in building long-term partnerships throughout the region. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Geology, Environmental Science, Construction Management, or a related technical discipline; OR equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of environmental consulting experience
  • Professional Geologist; PG or Professional Engineer; PE registration/license
  • Knowledge of environmental permitting, regulations, and testing methods
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and industry-specific platforms (e.g., project management, data reporting systems).
  • Strong organizational, communication, and analytical skills
  • Willingness to travel to job sites and work in diverse environmental conditions
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage multiple priorities, and interface with clients and regulatory bodies effectively

Nice To Haves

  • Certifications in relevant inspection or testing areas preferred (e.g., ACI, ICC, ATTI, Nuclear Safety).
  • GIT/EIT, PG/PE
  • relative Environmental Engineering experience and environmental certifications

Responsibilities

  • Lead environmental projects from proposal through completion
  • Manage project budgets, schedules, resources, and deliverables
  • Partner directly with clients to understand needs and deliver exceptional service
  • Perform and oversee Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs)
  • Support environmental investigations, sampling, reporting, and regulatory compliance efforts
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across engineering, laboratory, and environmental services
  • Mentor and support developing professionals while contributing to team growth
  • Identify opportunities to expand client relationships and support business development efforts
