About The Position

MV Transportation is seeking an Environmental Manager to partner with the client and MV Transportation as contracted to ensure municipal, state, and federal regulatory requirements are met. The candidate will have experience implementing a comprehensive Environmental Management Program (EMP) and an Environmental Management System (EMS). The Environmental Manager will track updates to federal, state, and local legislation, including new regulations and requirements. He/she will manage all aspects of compliance and ensure that environmental standards are being followed daily, weekly, and monthly. He/she will also prepare reports on this compliance, or standards as needed for internal/external distribution.

Requirements

• Adequate environmental training.
• A minimum of three years of environmental experience and training in air quality management, underground storage tank management and monitoring, hazardous materials management, and stormwater and water pollution control management.
• Registered Environmental Manager Certificate (REM).
• Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local environmental laws and regulations.
• Ability to prepare budgets and conduct cost-benefit analysis.
• Good verbal, written communication, and presentation skills.
• Proficient Computer Skills – Microsoft Office Suite (PPT proficiency required).
• Strong analytical skills.
• Strong technical expertise.
• Superior time management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with environmental sustainability or related field.
• Transit experience.

Responsibilities
