About The Position

Terracon’s internship and co-op program provides practical exposure to environmental engineering and the business functions that support these services. The Environmental Intern works alongside experienced engineers and technicians on field and laboratory assignments, supports active project work, and observes how technical decisions translate to client and community outcomes. The position provides opportunities to develop skills in sampling, testing, data analysis, and report development, with mentorship from professionals and participation in a nationwide internship cohort program that shares experiences with executive leadership. Learning areas include safe field and laboratory practices, proposal and technical report development, project management fundamentals, quality management systems, and client communication and consulting skills.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, science, technical, or business-related fields.
• Interest in consulting and fieldwork.
• Demonstrated curiosity and teamwork, and alignment with Terracon’s values.
• A valid driver’s license with an acceptable violation history may be required.
