About The Position

POLYWOOD is seeking an Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Coordinator to manage safety systems, develop practical training and procedures, and lead implementation of assigned safety programs. Based in Indiana, the role supports operations in Indiana and North Carolina and partners with site safety teams, Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, HR, and IT. The position reports to the Director of EHS and serves as business administrator for HSI and Paylocity Learning, while owning defined programs such as lockout/tagout, confined space, and contractor management. The coordinator translates approved requirements into usable procedures and rollout plans, coordinates technical reviews, supports managers during implementation, and maintains organized, audit-ready records. Initial priorities include stabilizing HSI and learning administration and leading one or two defined program implementations, with a phased work plan established by EHS leadership based on risk, readiness, and resources. The role administers HSI forms, workflows, inspection templates, assignments, notifications, reports, data quality, and dashboards. It maintains Paylocity Learning safety training catalogs, assignments, learning paths, completion records, and reminders; develops practical training materials; coordinates instruction and evaluations; and tracks qualifications and training gaps. It also manages recurring DOT, elevator, and pressure vessel requirements, coordinating providers and responsible departments and tracking deficiencies. Program responsibilities include coordinating equipment inventories, procedures, reviews, implementation, training, inspections, and records for lockout/tagout; maintaining confined-space inventories and coordinating evaluations, signage, entry procedures, permits, training, equipment, and corrective actions; and administering contractor onboarding, required documentation, orientation, training evidence, expiration tracking, work-scope coordination, approvals, and site readiness. The coordinator develops rollout plans, follows up on overdue actions, verifies completion, escalates high-risk issues, maintains audit records, and supports internal and external reviews within the assigned scope. Work takes place in office and manufacturing settings. The role includes observing tasks, walking production areas, facilitating training, and working directly with site teams. Travel between Indiana and North Carolina locations and occasional support outside the normal schedule are expected.
