POLYWOOD is seeking an Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Coordinator to manage safety systems, develop practical training and procedures, and lead implementation of assigned safety programs. Based on-site in Syracuse, Indiana, the role supports operations in Indiana and North Carolina and works closely with site safety teams, Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, HR, and IT. The position reports to the Director of EHS and serves as business administrator for HSI and Paylocity Learning. It owns defined programs, including lockout/tagout, confined space, and contractor management, translating approved requirements into usable procedures and rollout plans, coordinating technical reviews, supporting managers during implementation, and maintaining audit-ready records. Initial priorities include stabilizing HSI and learning administration and leading one or two program implementations, with EHS leadership establishing a phased plan based on risk, readiness, and available resources. The role administers HSI forms, workflows, inspections, assignments, notifications, reports, and dashboards; maintains Paylocity Learning’s training catalog, role-based assignments, learning paths, records, and reminders; and develops task-based procedures, job aids, and training materials. It coordinates technical reviews, hands-on instruction, evaluations, trainer preparation, and follow-up on qualifications and training gaps. The EHS Coordinator manages recurring DOT, elevator, and pressure-vessel requirements, including records, equipment registers, schedules, certificates, provider contacts, and corrective-action tracking. For assigned safety programs, the coordinator supports lockout/tagout inventories, procedures, implementation, document control, technical reviews, field verification, training, inspections, and corrective actions; maintains confined-space inventories and related evaluations, classifications, signage, entry procedures, permits, training, equipment, and rescue-arrangement records; and administers contractor onboarding, documentation, orientation, training evidence, expiration tracking, work-scope coordination, approvals, and site readiness. The position turns approved requirements into cross-site rollout plans with owners, milestones, training, and verification steps; follows up on overdue actions; verifies completion through field checks and records; escalates high-risk issues; and supports internal and external reviews within its assigned scope. Work takes place in office and manufacturing settings and includes observing tasks, walking production areas, facilitating training, and working directly with site teams. The role requires travel between Indiana and North Carolina locations and occasional support outside the normal schedule. The employee must perform essential duties, with or without reasonable accommodation, and follow site PPE and safety requirements.
