About The Position

The Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) and Training Coordinator supports Langham Logistics’ commitment to safety, quality, compliance, and operational excellence by coordinating and executing EHS and training programs across all sites. This role is responsible for day‑to‑day implementation of safety policies, training delivery, audits, and recordkeeping to ensure compliance with OSHA, client, and regulatory requirements. The EHS & Training Coordinator role works cross‑functionally with Operations and Quality to ensure training is complete, accurate, and audit‑ready, while reinforcing a strong safety and compliance culture throughout the organization.

Requirements

  • Highschool Diploma or GED
  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related field
  • 2+ years of experience in an EHS role that performed training, preferably in a manufacturing, logistics, or industrial setting.
  • Working knowledge of OSHA standards and other relevant EHS regulations.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills; able to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • High attention to detail with a “zero-error” mindset for compliance and recordkeeping.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills across a diverse workforce, from hourly associates to site leadership.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills’ ability to gather data, identify trends, and recommend practical solutions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel is critical for tracking metrics).
  • Ability to troubleshoot basic classroom and training technology (e.g., tablets, scanners).
  • Knowledge of FDA and CFR requirements surrounding training.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Learning Management Systems, Quality Management Systems, and/or Warehouse Management systems preferred.
  • Familiarity with Train-the-Trainer models in industrial or manual-labor environments.
  • OSHA 30-Hour Certification
  • First Aid/CPR/AED Certification
  • HAZWOPER or similar EHS training
  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Associate Safety Professional (ASP) a plus

Responsibilities

  • Support the development, implementation, and monitoring of EHS programs and policies to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations (e.g., OSHA, EPA).
  • Conduct routine safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments; follow up on corrective actions to ensure completion.
  • Facilitate safety training sessions, toolbox talks, and onboarding programs for new hires.
  • Assist in investigating workplace incidents, accidents, and near misses; support root cause analysis and corrective action implementation.
  • Maintain accurate EHS records related to incidents, inspections, training, and regulatory compliance.
  • Monitor hazardous materials handling, waste management, and required environmental reporting.
  • Serve as a site-level point of contact during emergency situations and coordinate drills in accordance with established procedures.
  • Partner with supervisors and department leads to reinforce EHS initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Develop, maintain, and manage comprehensive training schedules across all warehouse departments and shfits.
  • Support and facilitate training on company policies, SOPs, safety standards, and operational systems (e.g., LMS, WMS/C3).
  • Partner with warehouse leadership to ensure structured onboarding and recurring training programs are consistently executed.
  • Maintain all training records within the Quality Management System and required physical files, ensuring complete, accurate, and audit-ready associate training profiles.
  • Monitor certification and qualification expirations (e.g., PIT/Forklift, HazMat, safety certifications) and proactively coordinate renewals to prevent compliance gaps.
  • Coordinate distribution, version control, and training acknowledgement for approved SOPs and work instructions.
  • Manage the master training calendar across all shifts while minimizing disruption to peak operational periods.
  • Coordinate new-hire onboarding logistics, including PPE issuance, badge access, classroom setup, and training materials.
  • Schedule and track practical evaluations and certifications for PIT and other applicable equipment, ensuring only authorized personnel operate machinery.
  • Prepare and present training and EHS documentation during internal audits, customers audits, OSHA inspections, and regulatory reviews.
  • Generate routine reports on training completion, certification status, and time-to-productivity metrics to support operational planning.
  • Collect, verify, and maintain On-the-Job Training (OJT) documentation to confirm hands-on competency validation by authorized supervisors.
