This position exists to help create and maintain a safe work environment and promote a strong culture of safety in a manufacturing setting which includes fabrication and assembly of aluminum fishing boats. The EHS Coordinator is a hands-on, floor focused role that performs the day-to-day activities needed to support Environmental, Health and Safety programs required by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), and internal policies and procedures. This role is expected to be out in the plant, working directly with employees and supervisors to identify hazards, complete required inspections, deliver training, and follow through on corrective actions. This is a non-supervisory role; however, the successful candidate must demonstrate strong informal leadership through professionalism, good judgment, and role-modeling safe behaviors, and must be willing and confident in stopping unsafe acts.
