About The Position
Parsons is looking for an Environmental Compliance Field Inspector Manager to join their team. This role involves reviewing construction work plans and reporting on compliance with environmental permitting requirements. The position is part of the Critical Infrastructure team, focusing on projects that connect and protect communities. Parsons has a long history of designing and delivering critical infrastructure, working in collaborative teams to plan, design, build, and modernize infrastructure that improves communities, enhances mobility, and increases sustainability and resiliency.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, geology or a closely related discipline
- 10-15+ years of prior experience performing construction site inspections
- Strong technical writing, analytical, and communication skills
- Ability to travel throughout the NY/NJ Metro Area
- Valid driver’s license
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience providing environmental inspections in and for NY, NJ and/or NYC agencies
- OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER training (and current refreshers)
Responsibilities
- Perform field audits of environmental documentation and field activities
- Review and prepare written technical reports documenting environmental construction compliance
- Report inconsistencies, environmental permitting requirements and contract specifications to the environmental compliance team
- Provide oversight of construction as it relates to environmental compliance
- Ability to interpret scientific data and specifications
