About The Position
The Environmental Aide I joins the Environmental Services team and helps provide a clean, orderly, and safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff, in keeping with the mission and philosophy of St. Peter's Health Partners. The role performs housekeeping functions and supports infection-control practices while maintaining courteous, effective working relationships with residents, families, staff, and other departments.
Requirements
- Perform housekeeping functions and carry out related responsibilities.
- Demonstrate SPHP Standards of Behavior.
- Follow written and verbal instructions.
- Complete high-school-level computational skills.
- Lift, pull, and push up to 50 pounds.
- Possess basic knowledge of dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitizing.
Responsibilities
- Thoroughly clean rooms, fixtures, and surfaces daily or as assigned, following training policies and completing work in a timely manner.
- Comply with infection-control policies and procedures.
- Maintain good working relationships and communicate with other departments, residents, families, and fellow staff; respond pleasantly to requests.
- Communicate problems encountered while performing daily routines to the Housekeeping Supervisor.
- Perform other duties assigned by the Housekeeping Supervisor or Director.
