About The Position

The Environmental Aide I joins the Environmental Services team and helps provide a clean, orderly, and safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff, in keeping with the mission and philosophy of St. Peter's Health Partners. The role includes cleaning rooms and other assigned areas, following training and infection-control procedures, and supporting positive working relationships across departments. This is a part-time, day-shift position.

Requirements

Perform housekeeping functions, duties, and responsibilities.
Demonstrate SPHP Standards of Behavior.
Follow written and verbal instructions.
Complete high-school-level computational skills.
Be able to lift, pull, and push up to 50 pounds.
Possess basic knowledge of dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitizing.

Responsibilities

Thoroughly clean rooms, ensuring areas, fixtures, and surfaces are cleaned daily or as assigned and in a timely manner, following training policies.
Comply with infection-control policies and procedures.
Maintain good working relationships and communicate with other departments, residents, families, and fellow staff.
Respond pleasantly to requests.
Communicate problems encountered while performing daily routines to the Housekeeping Supervisor.
Perform other duties assigned by the Housekeeping Supervisor or Director.
