About The Position

The Environmental Services Aide performs cleaning tasks throughout the facility to maintain a sanitary, pleasant, and safe environment for patients, residents, visitors, and associates. The role requires compliance with infection-control, safety, and cleanliness requirements mandated by JCAHO, OSHA, the Department of Health, and other regulatory agencies.

The aide cleans and disinfects rooms used for patient care and treatment, follows established procedures, and uses judgment, planning, creativity, and resourcefulness to complete work efficiently and overcome obstacles. The role also involves responding to patients, visitors, and associates with judgment and sensitivity, maintaining collaborative relationships with nursing and other departments, and protecting confidential information.

Requirements

• Knowledge of cleaning, disinfecting, infection-control, and safety procedures.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to organize and prioritize cleaning duties efficiently.
• Ability to maintain collaborative working relationships with nursing and other departments.
• Ability to guard confidential information.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• One to two years of work experience preferred.
