About The Position

Encompass Health is seeking an Environmental Services Aide to maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe hospital environment while complying with regulations and upholding quality standards. The role contributes to a healing environment that supports patient well-being. The aide cleans hospital areas using a variety of equipment and tools, helps maintain a tidy work environment, and follows procedures for hazardous materials and potential exposure situations. The position may require weekday or weekend work and evening or night shifts as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous housekeeping experience preferred.
• May be required to work weekdays and/or weekends, evenings and/or night shifts as needed.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and safety across hospital areas according to established quality standards and regulations.
• Use equipment such as high dusters, vacuums, mops, and floor polishers to perform cleaning duties.
• Handle general office equipment and help maintain a tidy work environment.
• Communicate effectively and approach tasks with attention to detail.
• Work independently and efficiently to meet deadlines and expectations.
• Follow established guidelines and procedures for handling hazardous materials and potential exposure situations.
