About The Position

The Environmental Services Aide maintains a clean, safe, and sanitary environment throughout the hospital, including patient rooms, public areas, and offices. The role supports infection control and a positive patient experience through cleanliness and organization. This is a part-time position with varying start times between mornings and afternoons. Experience is preferred, but the employer is willing to train the right candidate. Working every other weekend and holidays as needed is required.

The aide must maintain professionalism when interacting with patients, visitors, and staff, demonstrate attention to detail, and follow cleaning protocols.

Requirements

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior experience in a hospital or healthcare setting.
• Cleaning or housekeeping experience.

Responsibilities

• Clean patient rooms, restrooms, lounges, offices, corridors, walls, and windows according to the daily schedule.
• Vacuum, sweep, mop, scrub, and shine floors; replenish paper and soap products; and clean mirrors, sinks, and toilets.
• Operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums and floor scrubbers.
• Collect and remove trash from all facility areas daily.
• Stock linens throughout the hospital to ensure unit readiness.
• Follow infection control policies and report safety hazards to supervisors.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
