About The Position

Encompass Health is seeking an Environmental Services Aide to maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe hospital environment. The role supports regulatory compliance and quality standards while helping create a healing environment for patients. The aide cleans hospital areas, uses cleaning equipment and general office equipment, maintains a tidy work environment, communicates effectively, works independently to meet expectations, and follows procedures for hazardous materials and potential exposure situations. Work may include weekdays and/or weekends and evening and/or night shifts if needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous housekeeping experience preferred.
• May be required to work weekdays and/or weekends, evenings and/or night shifts if needed.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and safety across hospital areas in accordance with established quality standards and regulations.
• Use high dusters, vacuums, mops, floor polishers, and other tools to perform cleaning duties.
• Handle general office equipment and help maintain a tidy work environment.
• Communicate effectively and apply a detail-oriented approach to tasks.
• Work independently and efficiently to meet deadlines and expectations.
• Follow established guidelines and procedures for hazardous materials and potential exposure situations.
