About The Position

Performs a variety of cleaning tasks throughout all areas to maintain a sanitary, pleasant, and safe environment for patients, residents, visitors, and associates. The role must comply with infection-control, safety, and cleanliness requirements mandated by JCAHO, OSHA, DOH, and other regulatory agencies.

Performs cleaning duties according to established procedures and uses judgment, creativity, resourcefulness, and planning to complete work efficiently and overcome obstacles. The position requires sensitivity when responding to patients, visitors, and associates, and confidentiality regarding sensitive information about patients, staff, and the health system.

The schedule is a day shift from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., including rotating weekends and holidays. The pay range is $17.24–$20.00; starting rate is based on experience.

Requirements

• Knowledge of cleaning, disinfecting, infection-control, and safety procedures.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to organize and prioritize work efficiently.
• Ability to maintain collaborative working relationships with nursing and other departments.
• Ability to protect confidential information.
• Ability to work a day shift, including rotating weekends and holidays.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• One to two years of work experience preferred.
