About The Position

The Environment Service Specialist maintains assigned areas by completing cleaning and upkeep tasks as assigned by a supervisor or manager. Duties include cleaning floors and surfaces, maintaining restrooms and slot machines, restocking supplies and chemicals as needed, removing trash, vacuuming, mopping, and transporting items between areas. The role requires proper use of cleaning equipment and trained procedures when handling bloodborne pathogens. All team members are expected to follow the Everyone Greets Everyone (EGE) policy by acknowledging guests and colleagues within 10 feet, initiating a friendly verbal greeting within 5 feet, staying observant, and looking for opportunities to greet others. Team members also participate in mandatory meetings and pre-shift BUZZ sessions.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
Meet attendance guidelines and adhere to departmental and company policies.
Able to lift 50 pounds or more.
Able to respond to visual and aural cues and manage several tasks during a shift.
Able to work around crowded areas.
Able to stoop, bend, reach, pull, crouch, kneel, twist, and lift while performing duties.
Able to tolerate cleaning chemicals without developing an allergic reaction.
Able to work in areas containing secondhand smoke, dust, loud noises, and bright lights.
Able to operate vacuum cleaners, floor cleaners, or other floor-cleaning equipment such as mops and brooms.
Able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
Able to work a reasonable amount of overtime when required.

Responsibilities

Maintain assigned areas and complete tasks as assigned by a supervisor or manager.
Clean and sweep paper and debris from floors; vacuum and mop as assigned.
Clean and maintain slot machines, stands, walls, stalls, shelving, telephones, brass rails, doors, glass, mirrors, and other surfaces requiring attention.
Clean and maintain restrooms and refresh ashtrays and ash urns.
Restock paper products and cleaning chemicals in the work area as needed.
Follow proper trained cleaning procedures when bloodborne pathogens are involved.
Remove trash and transport items from one area to another as assigned.
Follow the Everyone Greets Everyone policy by acknowledging guests and team members within 10 feet and initiating a friendly verbal greeting within 5 feet.
Participate in mandatory meetings and pre-shift BUZZ sessions.
Perform other duties as assigned.
