About The Position

This role is responsible for maintaining a high standard of the store's overall look and feel, including cleanliness and recovery standards to deliver on Brand Promises. The associate will deliver friendly customer service, assist customers in shopping, and ensure the store is clean and safe for customers and staff. This position also involves supporting various store operations such as checkouts, Omni channel processes, and truck unloads.

Requirements

  • Must be at least sixteen (16) years or older.
  • Ability to remain standing for long periods of time.
  • Ability to move throughout the store.
  • Regular bending, lifting, carrying, reaching and stretching.
  • Lifting heavy boxes and accessing high shelves by ladder or similar equipment.
  • Use of standard commercial cleaners and chemicals from cleaning supplies.

Nice To Haves

  • Retail and/or cleaning experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Collects and disposes of trash following approved procedures.
  • Dust and damp mops floors following approved procedures.
  • Moves equipment and products for proper cleaning and places products back in correct placement.
  • Cleans assigned areas with the use of assigned materials and equipment.
  • Deep cleans key areas of the store including but not limited to bathrooms, breakrooms, entry ways and other high traffic areas.
  • Keeps cleaning equipment neat and orderly; notifies supervisor of supply needs in advance for replenishment.
  • Seeks out areas requiring cleaning; takes initiative to complete the task.
  • Completes all tasks assigned by supervisor.
  • Performs tasks in accordance with all federal, state and county guidelines.
  • Maintains positive and respectful interactions with both team members and customers.
  • Projects a positive image and serves as a role model for other Team Members.
  • Provides a fast and friendly check out experience; executes cash handling to standards.
  • Engages customers on benefits of Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards and completes enrollments.
  • Assists with Omni channel processes, including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship from Store (SFS).
  • Participates in the truck un-load, stocking, and planogram (POGs) processes.
  • Supports shrink and safety programs.
  • Adheres to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Company programs to ensure compliance with applicable laws and requirements; executes Company policies and standards.
